Middle Kingdom Figure & Models. A wooden figure and objects from Middle Kingdom funerary models: 1. A wooden figure of a man shown seated on a stool (?) with lower legs crossed in front. Arms missing and head well carved. Traces of polychrome decoration in red and black; worn. Arms missing with shoulders showing peg remains. This type of figure is too large to be a standard oarsman and is likely the ka-figure of the deceased overseeing the works. Middle Kingdom. Bonhams 8/4-98. (M1007) 2. A square shaped model basket in wood with sides tapering inward. Vertical lines marked on two sides.
