A Group of Predynastic Figural Implements. Predynastic Period, Nagada II-III. Nile valley flint and chert. Intact. Provenance: Reputedly from EEF sales. Aquired at Astarte Gallery, London 1992 A group of rare predynastic zoomorphic implements. These animal figures are knapped from flint core-blades in the same way as practical tools. Figures represent a falcon, two crocodiles, a bird in flight and what appears to be cow horns with a tang for attachment. Such early representations of zoomorphic figures from Egypt are rare.
