A group of early dynastic tools (4)

A Group of Early Dynastic Tools: 1. (M1226-1227) Two razor blades made from wide core-blades with reworked ends. The first is in light gray flint and has squared off ends; intact, 67 mm. The other is in a beautiful light creamy brown flint with rounded ends; intact, 45 mm. This type has been found in connection to the royal tombs at both Saqqara and Abydos. Thinite Period, 1-2 Dynasty. Acquired by L. Bjuggren in the 1960s to 70s. 2. (M101) Two long slender knives made from core-blades. The first is in gray flint and tapers towards a point; intact, 88.5 mm. Provenance: Richard Gill (Eternal Egypt), London 1991. The other is straight with squared ends in a light brown flint; intact.
