Mummified Fish Ptolemaic to Roman Period

Animal Remains: Mummified Fish. Ptolemaic to Roman Period. L 27,5 cm. Linen textile and organic material. Mummy fractured inside wrappings. Wrappings intact. A mummified fish of the species Lates niloticus, or Nile Perch, wrapped in linen textile with two strips of originally red linen wrapped around, above the tail and behind the head.
