Five Ushebtis from the Same Tomb Group. An overseer ushebti with kilt and whip along with four mummiform worker ushebtis; all in light blue to blue glazed faience with black painted details to the eyes, fillets, hoes and whip, baskets and worn frontal inscriptions. All from the same original tomb group. Third Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty. The overseer is intact. One of the mummiform ushebtis is intact besides chips to chin and foot, while the remaining three are broken with upper sections only remaining. Traces of the inscriptions where only the top few hieroglyphs are legible reading: ‘The Osiris …’. A complete work force. Reis H: 9.5 cm. Provenance: Intact worker acquired Monark Antiques, Glastonbury 1977, while the rest of the group was acquired at Astarte Gallery, London 1992.
