Han udtaler om sine værker: "A womans closest confidante is invariably another woman - be it her mother or her friends, especially in a male dominated society. The problems women face can best be understood only by another woman, never by a man, who may empathise with her, but can never experience her life, her trials and her tribulations in a patriarchal society. Intimacy series by Satish Gharage explores the dynamics of a daughters relation with her mother and a girls relation with her girl friends. The sculptures evoke a spirit of lightness, with just the face of the woman being its recognisable feature - primarily because thats the first thing we notice about women".
